Drones developed by IdeaForge proved to be incredibly useful law enforcement instruments throughout the outbreak. The company’s drone technologies have been used by several police agencies to ensure that social distancing guidelines are strictly followed. In order to contain the spread of the virus, Mumbai Police deployed drones to ensure thorough monitoring of lockdown areas such as the Dharavi slums. The Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) utilised drones to provide live monitoring of hotspots by streaming drone footage straight to a command-and-control centre. For night monitoring, Delhi police deployed thermal imaging payloads to identify lockdown offenders.
