Startup Meragi raised funding led by Accel

Meragi is a startup that provides services for Wedding functions. Meragi raised USD 9.1 million in a Series A round led by Accel.

The funding was led by Accel. and participation from existing investors Peak XV Partners, Venture Highway, and Angel Investor Anupam Mittal.

Meragi was founded by Mukund Mohan Raj, Abhinav Chandran, and Lakshminarayan B in 2021.

Meragi offers Wedding based services that includes including wedding planning, decoration, photography, and catering.


Funding:
The capital generated will be used to expand in other cities in India, launch partner venues and experience centers, also offer tech related products to clients.

“Having successfully delivered over 3,000 events in just 2 years, we’re eager to grow Meragi into a household name. With their expertise and support, we are confident in bringing the Meragi experience to thousands of more couples and families in India,” said Abhinav Chandran, Co-founder and CEO, Meragi.

Currently Meragi operates in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and National Capital Region, and offers destination weddings in Goa and Jaipur.

Meragi generated Rs 48 crore in gross merchandise value in last financial year. It aims to double it in the current financial year and is targeting Rs 100 crore, said the company in a statement.
