This is the story of a young and inquisitive Keralite IT professional who ventured into entrepreneurship to develop unique and innovative solutions for the oil and other industries.
Safil Sunny who hails from Ernakulum read about the massive oil theft from the pipelines and decided to investigate the matter. His research and investigation revealed the presence of various flaws in the methods used by the oil and gas industry for transportation.
The Start of Tranzmeo
After years of research, Sunny set up his venture Tranzmeo to use artificial intelligence, machine learning, photonics, and fibre sensing to detect leaks and intrusions in pipelines. The venture developed software that helps in the prediction and prevention of losses via leakage which also reduces the negative impact on the environment.
Using Remote Monitoring and Fibre Optic Sensing for Anomaly Detection
Tranzmeo, established in 2017, monitors 5000 KM pipelines across India through a specially designed advanced software. The startup’s core product is T-Connect OneView- a smart pipeline intrusion detection system that is governed by AI and Machine Learning. The product can be adapted for application in refineries, subsea, railways, border, and perimeter security.
Tranzmeo’s solutions help identify any abnormality in the pipelines quickly and enable early rectification. The use of photonics in remote sensing not only helps in identifying damage and its exact location at an early stage but also prevents leakage of hazardous substances.
