India’s Infosys expands partnership with Meta to drive enterprise AI innovation

Infosys has made a mile in corporate AI via the expansion of its strategic collaboration with Meta. Recognized as one of the top Bangalore-based IT majors that produce software, it now looks to drive innovation through its open-source technologies, particularly the Meta’s Llama stack powerful set of large language models meant to create enterprise-level advancement across industries.

 Center of Excellence on Meta

To further enhance this bold collaboration, Infosys also announced that it was launching a dedicated Meta Center of Excellence. This center will further help accelerate the integration of Meta’s Llama stack into enterprise systems, thus providing a talent pool of experts highly skilled on the particular stack. The CoE will also focus on the innovation of industry-specific use cases and contribution to open-source community development. That goes well with Infosys’ goal of simplifying AI-driven solutions for all enterprises, positioning Infosys and Meta at the edge in the evolving open-source AI landscape.

Infosys is integrating Meta’s Llama with Infosys Topaz.

Coming to one of the strategic integration endeavors, Infosys plans to integrate Meta’s Llama models with Infosys Topaz, a company-owned AI-powered platform where it has developed generative AI to digitalize business operations and maximize operational efficiencies. This synergy is envisioned to provide for rapid digital transformation with superior tools from AI to allow businesses to scale operations and gain leading-edge advantage. It will come from Infosys Topaz comprising Meta’s Llama technology, which will provide new-generation AI solutions specifically designed to address real-world problems that improve productivity and innovation.

The AI Experience Zone

The degree of collaboration can be extrapolated to an add-on as well, by providing it with an AI Experience Zone within its campus in Bengaluru, which it has set up. This allows clients to get hands-on exposure to the latest AI developments that the enterprise is working on and marks out how Infosys Topaz and the Meta Llama come together to get customers abreast of next-generation solutions. This marks a commitment on Infosys’s part to bring its capabilities on AI closer to its customers and enable them to witness the transformative effect of AI on their business operations firsthand.

Balakrishna D.R. Executive Vice President at Infosys offered his view saying, “Open-source innovation is not just part of the future; it is essential for creating impactful digital solutions that drive growth and efficiency.” He said that as Infosys integrates Meta’s Llama models into Infosys Topaz, it sets a new benchmark in enterprise AI solutions to be collaborative, accessible, and shaped for the benefit of all businesses.

Adding to this, Sandhya Devanathan, Vice President of Meta India said “Infusion of Llama within the Infosys Topaz epitomizes the great potential that AI can unlock in businesses’ capabilities to fully realize AI-driven transformation.” She underlined that open-source models like Llama are going to disrupt the very fabric of industries, enabling businesses to scale, innovate, and compete worldwide.

The expanded partnership will help Infosys and Meta jointly build out the future of enterprise AI and deliver impactful solutions that foster digital innovation and competitive growth.
