Beginnings of Daalchini Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

Prerna (Founder) had the concept for Daalchini when she was working in one of the prominent MNC. She believed that there was no intelligent method to consume fresh food as vending machines was also considered as a traditional method in 2017. She believes that there is no healthful way to consume fresh food outside of the home, such as at offices, institutions, path labs, and hospitals. She discovered a large gap there. That’s how the idea for smart vending machine was evolved.

Lessons from the Pandemic

Daalchini moved its focus from corporations to hospitals, residential complexes, and manufacturing plants when the epidemic reached the country. Incorporates made up 77% of their population until Covid’s time. They had to look for more prospects with Covid. They moved their vending machines into a new manufacturing plant in Greater Noida during the first wave of Covid. It taught them that even if corporations are unable to function due to unanticipated reasons; manufacturing factories will continue to operate.

Daalchini presently has over 200 franchises. Vending machines can be found in more than 14 cities. Daalchini will be expanding to a few more cities in the near future. Daalchini opened two kiosks in 2019. It has also expanded to 50 kiosks in 2019. The number of kiosks has increased to above 300 since March 2021. They currently have around 650 kiosks. Daalchini is a marketplace where several cloud cooks offer their wares.

Daalchini has a monthly gross merchandise volume of over 3 crores (Gross Merchandise Value). As per CNBC TV 18 reports, they expect a monthly turnover of 12 crores in FY22.
